SJ gick för nåt drygt halvårsen ut med att man ska totalrenovera hela deras SJ2000-flotta till en kostnad av 3,5 miljarder. Eftersom det finns direktiv från EU (fr 2007) att tågbolag inom unionen SKA tillåta transport av cykel och att SJ, i och med renoveringen, får en helt ny gyllene chans att leva upp till detta, blev jag såklart intresserad av att få detta bekräftat (jag vet – väldigt optimistiskt tänk).
Så i januari, tidigare i år, kontaktade jag kundtjänst. De skrev att det tyvärr ej heller i framtiden kommer vara möjligt att ta med sig sin cykel på tågresan. Men sen, efter många samtal och mail till SJs huvudkontor för en eventuell motivering, fick jag till slut tag i Jacob Åhgren, project manager för renoveringen, vilket visade sig vara precis rätt person att tala med om saken.
Han sa att det inte alls ännu var beslutat, när jag frågade varför multifunktionella utrymmen för större bagage som till exempel cykel inte kunde komma på fråga.
Vi hade ett bra samtal och Jacob sa att de faktiskt överväger att inreda för cykelutrymmen och att de är väl medvetna om EU-direktiven (ungefär). Hoppet började spritta omkring inne i kroppen på mig som små pilska vårrusiga gråsparvar. Han tyckte också att det till och med var bra att jag ringde och sa vad jag tyckte och lovade väga in detta i beslutsunderlaget. Vet att även en del läsare hörde av sig och framförde sin åsikter. Tack för det!
Nu har det gått ungefär sex månader och det är lätt att tro att jag sen nöjde mig och släppte detta. Men icke. Tio mail, med jämna mellanrum från februari fram tills nu, har jag skickat till Jacob Åhgren, för att höra mig för vartåt det lutar. Har jag fått en enda liten futtig rad tillbaka som svar? Nej, inte ett ord.
Till slut tröttnade jag på detta ständiga ignorerande och hörde av mig till hans kollega Susanne Rymell (SJ division fordon) och bad henne uppmärksamma honom på mina mail så att jag äntligen skulle kunna få ett svar.
Jag mejlade återigen Jacob Åhgren. Fortfarande inget svar – så jag vände mig ännu en gång till Susanne Rymell. Hon skriver då bl.a. att ”Arbetet med de interiöra delarna är i ett mycket tidigt skede och vi kan därför inte i dagsläget uttala oss om omfattning av upprustningen eller tidsplanen.” Hon hänvisar även i fortsättningen till den ickesvarande Jacob.
Jag blir förvånad över att man inte kommit längre då de första tågen ska sättas i trafik redan 2016. Vi pratar ju trots allt, enligt SJs egna ord, om största renoveringen på 150 år!
Jag är inte så naiv att jag inte tror att det inte skulle finnas några anledningar för SJ att i nuläget avstå från att dela eventuell information, om de nu redan har svaret vill säga.
Tills vidare så lever jag mitt cykelliv enligt de, i EU-mått mätt, alldeles unikt mossiga och miljövidriga regler SJ valt att hålla sig till vad gäller cykel, det vill säga: merparten av familjemedlemmarna är vikbara.
Den dagen SJ väljer att bli miljövänliga på riktigt, och öppna upp för cyklande både före- och efter tågresan, då ska jag fira med att köpa en sprillans ny helt och fullt ovikbar cykel.
Men om det nu är så att det fortfarande inte finns ett taget beslut – betyder det att det fortfarande finns tid att påverka. Mina erfarenheter är att relativt få människor kan uträtta stordåd.

Nej, skillnaden mellan oss cyklister och andra lobbyister (som t ex bilindustrin) är att vi inte har några resurser, vi gör allt på fritiden och det bästa sättet då är att få fler människor att påverka och tjata tills de som bestämmer faktiskt lyssnar och gör det lagen säger att de ska göra.
Och att jämföra detta med vad en stalker gör är väldigt lågt.

Först vill jag klarlägga att man redan idag får ta med hopfällbara cyklar på alla SJs tåg. Denna möjlighet kommer även att finnas i framtiden.
Utöver detta pågår tex ett projekt med låne-cykel i Uppsala.
Beträffande frågan om upprustningen av våra SJ 2000 snabbtåg och huruvida det i framtiden kommer att vara möjligt att medta en vanlig cykel ombord på dessa tåg eller inte, så är detta ännu inte helt bestämt.
Processen med att bestämma hur utrymmet ombord skall disponeras och vilka förmågor som byggs in i ett snabbtåg är ett komplext arbete som innebär en avvägning mellan en stor mängd krav och faktorer. Som exempel kan nämnas att det skall skapas plats för vanliga sittplatser, rullstolar, bagage, plats för djur, barnvagnar et cetera, samtidigt som allting som byggs in ombord skall underlätta hög punktlighet, smidig ombordstigning och god framkomlighet ombord, samt följa standarder inom säkerhet, brandkrav, nödutrymning, arbetsmiljö etc.
Hur de upprustade SJ2000 tågen kommer att utformas kommer att presenteras allra tidigast under 2015, inte innan dess.

I alla fall borde det vara möjligt att i framtiden ta med cykel på inter-city tågen, men inte heller det är möjligt idag.
Mejlade Jacob idag men lär knappast få något svar. På 90-talet pluggade jag i Lund och kunde frakta både cykel och moped i särskilda fraktvagnar. Sedan försvann dessa ”gammelmodiga” vagnar utan att det skapades moderna varianter. Skitdåligt av SJ om du frågar mig. SJ kan bara komma ur sin gigantiska kris om de lyssnar på sina resenärer.

Två grannar lämnar sina radhus. Den ena tar taxin mot flygplatsen och hamnar i bilkö, incheckningskön och i säkerhetskön och i gatekön och slutligen i mittgångskön i flygplanet. Personen får till slut en väska i huvudet när hen till slut får en plats. Och vid slutdesitinationen står hen vid bagagekön.
Den andra grannen cyklar till tågstationen, ställer in cykeln i en cykelvagn och sätter sig ovanför och tar upp sin laptop och börjar jobba. När hen kommer fram tar hen ut cykeln och cyklar iväg.
Yepp – denna reklamfilm skulle definitivt öka tågbiljettförsälningen!
